Why Was This Summit Produced?  

Your hosts, Scott Saunders, DDS and Bonnie Benjamin spent over 18 months asking people just like you what they wanted from health care and dental care; what they weren’t getting; what their unanswered questions were; what they were most concerned about, and what they defined as good health.  

This Summit is the result of that research.

Your Hosts

Scott Saunders, DDS

Scott is a co-founder of Healthy Mouth Media. He received his DDS degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. His background includes clinical practice in general dentistry and periodontal health. He is a published author of everything from a dental advice newspaper column to peer-reviewed articles in top-tier dental journals, as well as his own comprehensive review article on nanotechnology in dentistry, which is regularly cited by other authors. He is also a clinical researcher with over 20 years’ experience investigating how the body can heal itself…if we let it. In addition, he is also a trained clinical emotional freedom technique (EFT) Tapping practitioner. Dr. Saunders is not currently in dental practice. 

Bonnie Benjamin

Bonnie is a co-founder of Healthy Mouth Media. She received her BSBA degree from the University of Connecticut, initially working in the accounting field before starting a manufacturing company, writing her first book and realizing that research and writing were her passions. She began her traiining in EFT-Tapping in 2006 and has found it extremely useful not only for herself, but for others she has worked with. She introduced Scott to it in 2009. When she met Scott in 2009, she soon realized that with her business and writing background, she could help him realize his vision of bringing cutting-edge, actionable information to the dental and general health-care consumer. Working with Scott, she has developed an interest in dentistry and has become deeply involved in research and writing for both Healthy Mouth Media and for the book she is currently writing, Healthy Mouth – Healthy Mom – Healthy Baby. Although oral-systemic health and dentistry were new areas to her, she is not new to medicine, having grown up in a medical family with a grandfather who was a physician, a mother and grandmother who were nurses, a sister who is a nurse and a niece who is in nursing school. There is even an oral tradition of women in her mother’s family who were healers in the 18th century
